The Konza Swamp Band
“Stompin' good time acoustic music.”
The Konza Swamp Band hails from the Kansas City area. They have been playing acoustic bluegrass, old-time, and country favorites for the last five years. The KSB line up includes Beth Watts on guitar, Caleb Gardner on mandolin, Garrett White on guitar, Nick Gardner on banjo, Jimmy Campbell on resonator guitar, and AMA bass instructor Chris DeVictor on the upright bass. This current group has been playing together for three years now and has just released their first CD. This self-titled collection of thirteen tracks includes some old-time, some bluegrass, some country, and some original tunes. Just coming off a great Walnut Valley Festival where the KSB played on Stage 5 and Stage 7 in the Pecan Grove, the group plans to head back into the studio to record their second album in early November. Mike West, of Truckstop Honeymoon and Ninth Ward Studios, will be recording and mastering, so this band's second offering is sure to be a good one. Head on out to one of their upcoming shows. Check out the KSB for some stompin' good time acoustic music.
